Mariah McCammond is a Tucson native creative. Forging her own path through the desert, she chose to forgo a formal musical education for private study. Continuously seeking out the best teachers and mentors, because education is something that should never end for any of us.
A veteran member of Tucson’s live music scene, Mariah has performed with some of Tucson’s most treasured musicians at many of it’s most esteemed venues.
Prior to teaching music she worked as a luthier, training at the Blum & Amesquita violin shop.
She currently serves on the board for S.O.P.H.I.A. - Saguaro Old Pueblo Harpers In Arizona. A joint organization of the Tucson chapters of the American Harp Society - The Saguaro Chapter - and the International Society of Folk Harpers and Craftsmen - The Old Pueblo Harpers.
Mariah is also a writer, painter, beekeeper, and certified clinical herbalist.
